Designed by one of its founders, the architecture of Señor Tango is a tribute to tradition. With its vaulted ceilings, iron pillars, and red quebracho wood floors, the three-level structure is a masterpiece of preservation.

Our spectacular show opens with the grand entrance of nine couples performing traditional tango on stage. Accompanied by a live orchestra and the acclaimed voice of Fernando Soler, the artists bring to life the true passion and soul of Buenos Aires.

Our majestic venue welcomes up to 1,500 guests, creating a vibrant atmosphere that invites you to relive the rich history of tango. The circular rotating stage ensures flawless views from every seat. Located in the traditional neighborhood of San Telmo, El Viejo Almacén is one of Buenos Aires’ most historic and iconic tango houses. Founded in 1969, this legendary venue preserves the essence of early 20th-century porteño architecture, offering a warm and authentic atmosphere that evokes the Buenos Aires of bygone times.

Its halls, decorated with period details, vintage photographs, and traditional elements, recreate the ambiance of the first cafés and almacenes where tango was born. The intimate layout and close proximity to the stage allow guests to experience every gesture, movement, and musical note up close, creating a fully immersive and authentic experience.

El Viejo Almacén is considered a living heritage of tango, a place where history, tradition, and passion for Buenos Aires music and dance remain alive, attracting both tourists and enthusiasts eager to immerse themselves in the city’s most genuine cultural expression.

The rhythm of the show is energetic and happy, the demonstrations have euphoria but as well passion and sensuality, with a mix of tang "brushing" the floor, the most traditional, and stage tango. The show takes place in a small space but still is big show format. As well as the excellent dance we can emphasize the quality of the quintet music performance, a group of real veterans of tango with years and years of expertise, who show their enjoyment of playing this beautiful music together. Hugo Marcel, the lead singer and one of the icons of tango, gives a passionate and very personal performance.

Catulo Tango is an intimate live tango space located in the heart of the Abasto neighborhood, one of the most emblematic corners of Buenos Aires and home to great figures of Buenos Aires culture. This neighborhood, crossed by the history of tango, poetry and bohemian life, inspires every detail of the place.

The name Catulo Tango pays homage to Catulo Castillo, one of the great Argentine tango poets, author of unforgettable lyrics that portray the soul of Buenos Aires, its nights, its loves and its nostalgias. Catulo supposed to transform Buenos Aires' daily life into poetry, and that spirit is what lives in every role: a tango told from within, with true and surrounding emotion.

The space was conceived as a cultural refuge, filled with massive formats, where the public could feel the tango in an authentic way. Here, live music, dance and history merge in a warm and welcoming environment, creating a direct connection between artists and spectators. Each show is unique, designed to convey the essence of Buenos Aires tango in its purest form.

Every night, the Catulo Tango stage comes to life through professional artists who represent the best of Argentine tango. Tango dancers from outstanding backgrounds perform intense and elegant choreographies, where technique, connection and passion combine to tell stories without words. Each movement reflects the essence of Buenos Aires tango, from its most traditional roots to contemporary expressions full of energy and emotion.

The experience is enriched by the presence of a live orchestra, which performs the great tango classics with careful arrangements, recreating the authentic sound of Buenos Aires nights. Bandoneón, violin, piano and bass accompany each dance step, generating an immersive atmosphere that transports the audience to the heart of Buenos Aires. Here are tango singers, whose deep and expressive voices interpret lyrics full of history, nostalgia and feeling, connecting the viewer with the soul of the genre.

As part of the cultural tour, the show also incorporates songs from Argentine folklore, bringing color, rhythm and diversity to the night. Traditional dances and popular music from the country are in dialogue with tango, offering a broader vision of Argentine cultural identity and enriching the artistic experience.
